TOKYO, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks advanced Wednesday morning.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 321.38 points, or 1.54 percent, from Tuesday to 21,185.59.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, added 16.19 points, or 1.03 percent, at 1,588.79.

Mining, securities house, and information and communication-linked issues comprised those that gained the most by the morning break.
